ISABS konferencija u sklopu koje su &nbsp;dodijeljene nagrade mladim budu\u0107im znanstvenicima &nbsp;za najuspje\u0161nije napisane eseje istra\u017eiva\u010dkih radova u\u010denika srednjih \u0161kola (The ISABS High School Student Future Scientist Award). Nagradu je primilo \u0161est u\u010denika&nbsp; i njihovih mentora, a me\u0111u nagra\u0111enima na\u0161le su se i na\u0161e u\u010denice Ton\u010dica Grubi\u0161i\u0107 i Vita Medi\u0107 s mentoricom Ines Alujevi\u0107. U\u010denice su zajedno s mentoricom prisustvovale na predavanjima najistaknutijih svjetskih znanstvenika iz podru\u010dja forenzike, antropologije, genetike, molekularne biologije i &nbsp;medicine. Svoj rad pod nazivom Ispitivanje toksi\u010dnosti troske iz Dugog rata uz pomo\u0107 Allium cepa testa u\u010denice su prezentirale poster prezentacijom. U radu Konferencije sudjelovalo je &nbsp;petstotinjak uglednih znanstvenika iz vode\u0107ih svjetskih znanstvenih institucija te tri nobelovca: Sir Richard Roberts, prof. dr., Gregg Semenza i prof. dr. Svante P\u00e4\u00e4bo. Dru\u017eenje s nobelovcima uprili\u010deno je na Sustipanu zahvaljuju\u0107i tradicionalnoj televizijskoj emisiji Nobel Spirit u produkciji Hrvatske radiotelevizije. U prekrasnom ambijentu Me\u0161trovi\u0107eve galerije odr\u017eana je gala ve\u010dera na kojoj su dodijeljene nagrade u\u010denicima i mladim znanstvenicima. Sa\u017eetci u\u010deni\u010dkih radova publicirani su zajedno s radovima znanstvenika u \u010dasopisu Jurnal of bioanthropology. Glavne teme konferencije bile su vezane za individualizirani pristup lije\u010denju, primjenu umjetne inteligencije u razumijevanju mehanizma nastanka bolesti na molekularnoj i stani\u010dnoj razini te stvaranju nove generacije lijekova, regenerativnoj medicini, proizvodnji organa u laboratoriju.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I za u\u010denice i za mentoricu ovo je bilo nezaboravno i poticajno iskustvo. U okru\u017eju velikih umova pronalazak puta u bolju budu\u0107nost \u010dini se mogu\u0107im.
